Trash Heroes in Action

TEDx Yangoon

Yangon has a trash problem. The world, in fact, has a trash problem. Sportsman Phone Kyaw Moe Myint started cleaning up lakes and the beaches due to his love for the sport of sailing. He makes a powerful, passionate and informative call on how all of us can become responsible global citizens and do our part in protecting the environment.

Trash Hero @Work: Firmen wollen Abfallberge reduzieren

Güselhelden knüpfen sich Firmen vor. Tele 1 Luzern. A lot of the litter we produce is waste as a result of our work. What’s the idea? Trash Hero World’s @Work program creates a solid basis for reducing corporate and business waste to a minimum. How does it work?
In a first step, all office waste on an average day is analysed in detail. One by one, steps are then taken to reduce waste to a minimum. Employees might all commit to using our stainless steel bottles, or use their own containers to pick up their lunches. Slowly but surely, employees can move towards implementing a zero waste philosophy and can see how small changes make a big difference. Want to implement Trash Hero @Work at your company? Trash Hero Bangkok

Trash Hero Bangkok produced this video from their first cleanup of 2016 – a standup paddle boarding pickup of Lake Taco in Bangkok! More than 100 heroes participated, getting SUP lessons from event sponsor Starboard Windsurfing before taking to the waters.

Every Week: We Clean. We Educate. We Change.

Trash Hero is a global movement, with a simple and effective message that translates across the world. A Trash Hero wastes as little as possible, reuses as much as possible, and works to preserve and improve the spaces they are in, wherever they may be.

Help Trash Hero to Change

Trash Hero volunteers organize weekly cleanup events where volunteers learn about the global waste crisis in a very hands-on way. All cleanups include –as the name suggests- cleaning up of a designated area, an education part and a fun activity. We clean – We educate – We change. Proud global partner of #WorldCleanupDay2018, #BreakFreeFromPlastic, OceanCare and Bye Bye Plastic Bags
